Adèle Chassagne in her studio in Arles

The studio

Seven pieces a year.
Nothing in between.

Adèle Chassagne works alone in a converted salt warehouse in Arles. Each vessel begins in the ground — clay dug, washed and aged on site — and ends in a wood kiln she fires four times a year.

This site holds to the same discipline. One piece at a time, on one still page. The work does not compete for your attention; it waits for it.
